Responsibility for plant maintenance:To assist in problem solving to ensure stoppages are kept to a minimum.Key Performance and Result Areas:Reduce machine downtimeReduce scrap originated from machine failure and set-up activitiesMaintain Quality and safety standardsKey Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure all maintenance activities (electrical and mechanical) are carried out to the required standard and fool-proofing techniques are applied whenever possibleEnsure continuous improvement philosophy is appliedAssist production in interpreting relevant machine values in relation to the operation of the machineCarry out appropriate actions to ensure scrap reduction during set-up and production activitiesRespect budget by ensuring no wastage of spare componentsCarry out stock takes as defined to ensure availability of sparesEnsure all maintenance systems as defined are respectedActively participate in all action teams as requestedCarry out all mechanical or electrical adjustments on machines to ensure product qualityAssist in installation or moving of any machinery when neededAssist in any project relation to upgrading of the factory / machinery or plant layoutCarry out all maintenance activities required, in normal and after hours to ensure down time is kept to the minimumEnsure that all electrical machinery and equipment is safe to operateEnsure that all protective equipment controlling access to live electrical components are in good conditionIsolate and forbid the utilization of any equipment that present a risk to employees until the problem is fixedPerform all scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to the correct standardsEnsure correct application of LOTO instructions and rules when doing any maintenance interaction on machinesAssist contractors and other personnel with LOTO arrangement when and where applicableAssist the production team to maintain and improve productivity by minimizing production line stoppageEnsure proper housekeeping of any areas when electrical and mechanical are concernedPromote, adhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and instructions in the capacity of employment (e.g. Environmental Management Systems, Health and Safety, Quality)Ensure safety, Health and environmental issues relating to all activities conducted on the company’s premises are respectedMinimum Requirements:Qualified MillwrightMinimum of 5 years’ experience (post trade) in an automotive/manufacturing environmentRequired capabilities and skills:Can approach a logical problem-solving methodUnderstand the interfacing of all engineering control systems mediumsNeed to be able to make calculated decisionsNeed to be able to work without assistanceGood time management skillsSelf-driven capabilityAuthorities:Must stop the machine in case of emergencyMust block the access to any equipment for safety reasonsMust isolate and forbid the utilization of equipment that he declares not safeMust report any action or process that may have a negative impact on HSE#J-18808-Ljbffr
