We are looking for someone who can provide advice in terms of water quality and quantity monitoring, analysis and hydrological assessment. Provide the hydrological input into EIA/EMP/IWWMP and IWULA; Conduct water quantity/quality monitoring as part of baseline assessment; Conduct flood line modelling and hydrological assessments; Use of HEC_RAS, PCSWMM, GoldSim, WRSM2000 and GIS for hydrological and hydraulic assessment Develop Water and salt balances ; Ensure that the quality of results meets company’s internal standards; Conduct field work including site reconnaissance, water quality sampling, etc.; Report and proposal writing; Develop and maintain client relationships; Carry out business development and marketing activities  Working in close collaboration with specialists from other disciplines; and Project managing and administrating projects, where required. Carry out field work under strenuous conditions. Qualifications/Experience Required: 3-5 years’ experience in Hydrology and 1-2 years’ experience in consulting. Project management experience would be an advantage. Experience and knowledge of mining sector would be helpful Time and budget management; Communication (written and oral); Self-motivated and creative;  Understanding of the National Water Act and DWS guidelines; Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license with 1-2 years driving experience and ability to drive bakkies or larger vehicles.; Must be willing to travel throughout Africa and elsewhere, as the need arises; and Must be able to sell and market their services. Salary range:  Market Related based on experience.
