You will be responsible for managing the Bid team to identify and secure bids, acting as a subject matter expert when discussing the approach to the tender response and working side by side with the various specialists in the relevant teams. You will work closely with The Head of Strategy and the Partnerships Team to organise and set the strategy for bid applications and planning capacity locally and internationally, with a focus on raising the quality of bid submissions and challenges.RESPONSIBILITIESLeading a team of bid managers and writers to identify and secure bidsOrganising and setting the strategy for bid applications and planning capacity to keep up with bid submissions across Australia, France, Spain, USA, Canada, and the UKCreating a strategy to raise the quality of bid submissions and challengesWorking closely with internal and external counsel to challenge bids and procurement processes, where relevantREQUIREMENTSMinimum:3+ years of experience in a bid-related role in private or public sector, as well as a track record of winning proposals within highly competitive markets1 year of experience in a management position related to procuring or delivering tenders1 year of experience winning tenders/bids related specifically to higher education delivery 1-3 years corporate strategic and technical writing experienceA tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, PR or related discipline Proven ability to effectively manage a high volume of commercial tenders to varying timescalesStrong knowledge of bid writing principles and ability to translate for a wide range of subject mattersExceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly present a business rationale High attention to detail coupled with high standardsAbility to multitask with research projects, data analysis and coordination with the executive teamPreferred: 2+ years of prior experience in a high growth company or tech startup5+ years of experience in a bid-related role in private or public sector, as well as a track record of winning proposals within highly competitive markets2+ years of experience running the bidding function or a company that derived at least £20mil/year in realised revenue through bids Experience as a Bid Writer in the education / education technology industryExperience winning significant bids and government tenders for education projects in the UK and abroad BENEFITSHybrid work: We are a hybrid work organisation offering flexibility on your schedule.
