You will need to display commitment and support for the ethos and philosophyof Brescia House School.Requirements and experience to be suitable for this role include:a Masters degree and qualification as an Educational Psychologist.registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).Facilitation of individual and group therapy with a broad awareness of generaltherapeutic approaches.a thorough understanding of assessments and interventions within the educationalcontext.experience in dealing with children, specifically girls and girl adolescents.the ability to display insight to analyse, develop, promote, and implement therapy,counselling and student wellness frameworks and policies.an awareness and understanding of Transformation and Diversity matters especiallywithin a school environment.Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate:a proven record of commitment and professionalism within the realms of educationand counselling, is essential.the willingness to embrace the rapid change in education, and the effect that this hason students.high levels of confidentiality, compliance with all “best interest of the child” protocolsand ethical behaviour.effective organisational skills with the ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and theexpectations of all stakeholders.the ability to converse in various languages will be an added advantage.a deep awareness and understanding of cultural diversity within a school context.The successful candidate will be required to:contribute as an active member of the department and Brescia House School staff.be accessible across all age groups and phases of the school.Compile and take responsibility of records and reports for administration purposes.monitor the progress of students by maintaining contact and follow-up.facilitate relevant training sessions for teachers, staff and parentsdraw from research, frameworks and best practice.This opportunity is a full-time role, 5 days a week, on-site.Interested candidates should please submit a covering letter and CV to the Head of HumanResources, Gareth Low, with the subject line Educational Psychologist, by Monday the 1 July2024 via email to humanresources@brescia.co.za .Brescia House School reserves the right not to proceed with the filling of the post advertised.
