The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to: Develop the financial well-being of the division by providing the full spectrum of financial services. Review and interpret monthly management accounts, while recommending further course of action. Analysing operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, assist with strategic analysis and planning. Establish finance and operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, determining productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies. Review and sign off journals. Manage working capital including debtors, creditors and inventory. Responsible for the assessment and implementation of internal controls. Prepare interdivisional and interbranch reconciliation. Review and analyze provisions and follow up on reconciling items. Review head office and operational general ledger reconciliations. Manage banking profiles and treasury functions. Manage all FECs and ensure the division is sufficiently covered. Prepare annual reporting pack and manage the roll out of any relevant IFRS. Management of customer and supplier master. Responsible for compilation and consolidation of budget templates. Review of payroll and statutory payments. Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests by the Director/Chief Financial Officer. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.The key educational requirements and qualificationsfor this position would be: A Qualified Chartered Accountant is a MUST. Minimum 5 years post articles experience in Finance Management or similar role. Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Experience within project environment would be advantageous. Experience in the preparation and finalisation of accounts in accordance with current South African regulations. Proven knowledge of cost control, financial analysis, accounting principles, practices, standard laws, and regulations is a MUST. Knowledge of Corporate Governance, relating to risk management, financial reporting, financial auditing, controls, and compliance is a MUST. Proven track record in the implementation of internal controls, corporate. governance policies, improved operational efficiencies and financial models. Solid understanding of statutory requirements, e.g., VAT, imports, exports, FECs. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. The skills and competencies required for this position amongst others would be: Technical skills - ability to calculate and interpret financial results, manipulate large amounts of data and accuracy. Business reporting skills - ability to compile accurate and meaningful business reports. Problem solving skills - demonstrate an ability to apply the principles of problem identification, analysis, and decision-making within immediate work context. Time management skills - ability to manage own time and that of a team and being able to work in a fast-paced environment. Stress tolerance - ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Result orientated - hands-on commitment and ability to get the job done. Critical thinking - ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Observant with immaculate attention to detail. Dependable - being reliable, responsible, and fulfilling obligations. Must be able to maintain confidentiality about all financial matters. Ability to integrate/coordinate financial and operational strategies. Ability to work independently in a team and under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external customers.Salary - R1.4 mill pa CTC
