Group Patient Administration Manager- Africa Health Care Head Office View All Careers Posted: 2024-05-08, Closing: 2024-05-22 Location: Gauteng, Roodepoort A vacancy exists for a Group Patient Administration Manager at Africa Health Care Head Office , reporting to the Chief Operating Officer . The purpose of this position is to manage and to support the hospitals in implementing procedures and solutions to improve quality and the effectiveness of the Patient Administration value chain with particular reference to facilitating collections, while ensuring compliance and governance. Critical Outputs Ensure the compliance to group working procedures and assist the business units in the development of unit specific standards, protocols and measures to manage the patient administration areas, including admissions, case management and bill auditing. Manage and measure the quality and effectiveness of the billing function and disseminate the information to the group on a regular basis. Manage the increased demands of the alternate revenue strategy in the hospitals and to report and review on the DRG, Fixed Fee and Per Diem events billed by the hospital. Day to day management of Patient administration function and financial process, including monitoring, reporting of performance, training of users and troubleshooting with funders and providers. Measure and report on hospital compliance, discuss recommendations with management and ensure agreement of action plans. Coordinate the collection of relevant data across the business and submit to internal and external parties as may be required from time to time. Sponsor and drive quality programs throughout the Group. Work hand in hand with key stakeholders in the business and across functions e.g. Reception, Finance, Nursing, Pharmacy, IT and Debtors Management teams to optimise team outputs. Requirements Strong systems knowledge Proficiency in business processes, compliance and governance Previous experience in a similar role in private healthcare Case Management experience is preferable with formal ICD 10 and CPT training.
