Please send your resume to Kate@salixrecruitment.co.za Duties: Gather comprehensive cost information from various sources and ensure its accurate entry and storage in the expenses database Design and implement efficient data accumulation systems to facilitate the seamless collection and processing of cost-related data. Collaborate with relevant departments to strategically plan and meticulously document variable costs, providing a foundation for precise financial analysis Conduct thorough reviews of both standard and actual costs to pinpoint any discrepancies or inaccuracies, initiating corrective actions as necessary Develop detailed budgeting reports that offer valuable insights into cost projections, variances, and potential areas for optimization Utilize advanced analytical techniques to scrutinize and report on profit margins, delivering comprehensive analyses to aid in informed decision-making Play a key role in supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reportin Actively identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements, recommending and championing innovative, cost-effective solutions Job Experience&Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) BCom Accountant / BCom Finance, or related field CIMA Qualified Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cost accounting or similar role Experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting NB! Will be required to travel between different branches Skills&Competencies: Ability to analyze financial data for cost assessment. Accuracy in reviewing and managing financial records. Understanding of basic financial principles and cost accounting. Clear communication of financial information to team members.
