The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's accounting functions. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting, financial management, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and operations.This role is based in Cape Town CBD City Bowl.Key Responsibilities:Creditors Management: Assist in the full function of creditors, including preparing and reconciling accounts.Debtors Management: Assist with the processing of invoices and recovery of monthly invoices, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.Month-End Processes: Manage and execute month-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.Fixed Assets: Take full control of fixed assets, including acquisition, disposal, and depreciation.Year-End Audit: Prepare the audit file and coordinate with auditors to facilitate the year-end audit process.Costing and Control: Oversee costing processes and implement control measures to ensure financial accuracy.Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the senior management team.Depreciation Calculation: Accurately calculate depreciation on all relevant assets.Provisions and Accruals: Manage provisions and accruals to reflect accurate financial positions.Journal Processing: Process journals, including those related to payroll, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.Payments Preparation: Prepare payment lists and requisitions, ensuring all payments are processed timely and correctly.Tax Compliance: Manage income tax and VAT submissions, including communication with SARS to resolve any tax issues.Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional accounting duties as required to support the finance team.Qualifications and Skill required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Completed SAIPA Articles (non-negotiable)Minimum of 3 years post articles experience in a similar accounting role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.High attention to detail and accuracy.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.  For more finance jobs, please visit www.networkrecruitmentinternational.com If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.We also invite you to contact us to discuss your next career move in finance!#J-18808-Ljbffr
