A well-known mine is looking for a Finance Superintendent to join their team in Rustenburg.In this role, you would support the Tax & Risk Manager and Management teams regarding all aspects of the integrated risk management program. You would promote and implement best practices on integrated risk management within the company and ensure that integrated risk management processes are aligned with the company’s objectives.Key Responsibilities:Identify and assess the level of issue-based risk exposures in the area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)Manage SHEQ compliance within the Section through effective use of the ToolboxUtilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ statusEnsure an enabling climate/culture across the CompanyFacilitate risk management training and development at the businessCoach and counsel the business units to ensure improved risk managementEnsure Customer SatisfactionDevelop, maintain, and improve relationships with key Internal and External stakeholders.Manage and communicate with various stakeholders to address specific needs and expectations on Integrated Risk Management engagements and information sharingEngage with various stakeholders and provide feedback on the risk assessments and outcomesImplement an Integrated Risk Management strategy, policies & procedure to ensure that the risk is managed within the appetite & tolerance levels approved by the Board and risk management principles are embedded across the OrganisationAnalysing market trends, reports, statistics, and relevant documentationCompiling and analysing data and information about the organisation, its practices, and legal obligationsIdentify, evaluate and review the risks that have an operational impact across SCR’s sites and report on these accordingly, to align to the Integrated Risk Management strategy together with the Business unit management teamsLiaise with the Business units to certify that Operational activities are planned, organised and supervised in alignment with the Risk Management StrategyFacilitation of Risk Training & CommunicationFacilitate training on Integrated Risk Management guidelinesBuilding a risk awareness culture by providing support and communication within the companyFacilitation of Risk Assessment WorkshopsConduct regular Risk Assessments and assist with the update of the organisation's Risk RegistersPerform quarterly assessments & reviews and compile Quarterly Risk Assessment Reports for the Business Units and Organisation as wholePerform control validations against operational risk profiles bi-annually, to determine the extent to which controls are relevant and effectiveEvaluate and calibrate the controls for the sites to ensure the risks are suitable to manage and remain within the approved risk appetite and associated tolerance levelsCompile Quarterly Risk Assessment Reports for Business Units and Organisation as wholePrepare Bi-annual Risk Reports on the results of the control validations, arising from the operational risk profiles and mitigating factors developed from identified risk gapsCompile Risk Survey Reports after analysing and interpreting Risk Surveys to achieve a balance between minimising the risks and maximising the opportunitiesIdentify risks, vulnerabilities, and trends and evaluate the likelihood and impact on the OrganisationDevelop suitable solutions & controls together with Management to mitigate challengesCompile detailed & summary reports on the risk assessments performedStandardize policies, systems and controls to mitigate the risks and improve the governance and control systemsManage Continuous Improvement through Operational ExcellenceIntegrate and improve the integrated risk management environment and control systemsProvide insight and input into established Risk Management policies and guidelines, on an ongoing basis to enhance the quality controls on the risk management processAdvise on the emerging risk, opportunities, trends and mitigating strategiesPromote and implement best practices on Integrated Risk Management within the CompanyEnsure the Insurance & Asset management program is coordinated, monitored and controlledManage the Section costsKey Requirements:6 years’ relevant experienceBachelor’s Degree or BComAdditional qualifications:Honours or Risk
