Professional Architect / Senior Architectural Technologist (Johannesburg Office) There is an opportunity for an Architect / Senior Architectural Technologist to join the Industry Advisory Group in the Johannesburg office of Royal HaskoningDHV.Main Responsibilities:Create and/or modify existing architectural designs and modelsUndertake Master Planning for Greenfields and Brownfield industrial developments, considering, among others, process, and logistics flowsUndertake both design and BIM coordinationPrepare / assist with reports, technical drawings and specifications and tender documentationEnsure that all quality system procedures are followed in the production and issuing of designs, costing, drawings, and standard details at discipline level within the Advisory GroupRegular contact and communication with the project teamGuidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level architectsEnsure that work is done in accordance with acceptable standards of both Royal HaskoningDHV and its ClientsEngage with clients / external stakeholders with respect to architectural discipline on aspects including project delivery, business development, client relationship management etc.Undertake design and project management in alignment with Royal HaskoningDHV Digital Ways of Working (DWoW), and be a champion for the DWoW programme within project teamsMaintain records in accordance with internal quality system; andOther functions related to the role that may arise.Minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:M.Arch / B.Arch / B.Tech Degree or equivalent in ArchitectureProfessional Architect (Pr.Arch) or Professional Senior Architectural Technologist (Pr.S.Arch.T) with SACAP is essentialRegistration with SA Institute of Architects (SAIA) is an advantage5-10+ years post-qualification experience, preferably within a consulting engineering environmentMentorship experience is requiredExperience in Brownfields and Greenfields developments – focus on industrial and mission critical facilities / data centres is advantageousAppropriate knowledge of local and international standards and codes – focus on industrial and mission critical facilitiesExperience working and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary engineering environmentExperience working and collaborating in virtual team environmentExperience in master planning of industrial sites and buildings, incorporating process flows and coordinationBIM and Revit proficiency (advanced level) are mandatory and will be assessed. Certificates are beneficialNavisworks, Enscape and Revizto plus Photo-shop capability is an advantageKnowledge of Dynamo, Python, and other ways to automate workflows are highly beneficialExperience with Common Data Environments and other relevant platformsAbility to liaise with relevant stakeholders on all levelsSelf-motivated, enthusiastic, go-getter attitudeResults orientated and target drivenGood organisational skills (plan and prioritise)Ability to balance and meet multiple deadlines and handle pressureExcellent teamwork and communication skills (at all levels)In line with our Employment Equity policy, preference will be given to applicants from designated groups and suitable internal candidates. 1 person has applied for this job. 100 people have viewed this job.
