The Junior Quality & Food Safety Administrator at RPO Recruitment is responsible for establishing and implementing Quality Management and Food Safety Programs in a food manufacturing setting. The role includes monitoring the performance of these programs and initiating continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards are met.Responsibilities:Supplier Initiatives Support:Assess feasibility, host supplier audits, and initiate/monitor CAPA executionReview and approve supplier-related documents with stakeholdersCollaborate with QC to review specifications from a quality perspectiveCustomer Complaints & Feedback:Investigate customer complaints and complete NCRs and feedback formsSite Quality, Regulatory, and Business Certification:Support implementation, host audits, and initiate/monitor CAPA executionFood Safety Program Monitoring:Oversee and improve programs such as:Food Safety ManualDocument and Record ControlProduct DevelopmentSpecifications (Raw Material, Packaging, Finished Product, Services)Non-Conforming Materials and ReworkComplaint ManagementFood Safety Plan (FSSC 22000)Identification, Traceability, Recall, and WithdrawalAllergen ManagementTrainingPest PreventionMaintenance ProgramCalibrationPersonnel HygieneEnvironmental MonitoringUtility SupplyReceipt, Storage, and TransportWaste DisposalFood DefenseQuality Management & Food Safety Programs:Develop procedures and record implementationMonitor performance indicators and lead continuous improvement initiativesMaintain and enhance the FSSC 22000 system (version 6.0)Audit Participation:Participate in at least three external food safety auditsNew Product Development Assistance:Assist with NPD work as neededCertificate of Analysis (COA) Management:Process COAs in accordance with organizational requirementsEnsure COAs/COCs are issued and attached to delivery documentsScan and file COAs/COCs received with deliveriesReport non-conforming suppliers to the Food Safety Manager and Procurement ManagerTrack and request outstanding COAs/COCs and update the 'Outstanding COA Log'Pest Control Officer Duties:Conduct monthly pest inspections and complete FS20-2 Pest Control Inspection ChecklistMonitor pest control measures, including rodent proofing and bait stationsReport pest activity and manage quarantine productsSchedule stack fumigation and maintain FS20-3 Pest Activity Sightings LogRequirementsBachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science or TechnologyMinimum of 3 years' experience in food manufacturingProficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systemsKnowledge of Food Safety testing instrumentation is advantageousAbility to work independently with excellent communication and organizational skillsData entry experience and strong attention to detailAbility to multitask and solve problems efficientlyComfortable working in warehouse and production environments with frequent standing and walkingAbility to perceive small color variationsHand/eye coordination and dexterity for handling products and instrumentsPotential requirement to QC check new products according to specificationsBenefitsSalary: negotiableContact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experienceApply for this role today, contact Shannon Thomson or Jamie-Lee McCallum at RPO Recruitment or on LinkedIn You can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV: manufacturing@rpo-recruit.za.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
