Learn more.Santam’s Motor Claims has a position available for a Motor Car Hire Consultant that will be based in Parktown.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe purpose of this position is to manage the cost on car hire within Santam, arranging car hire, engaging with clients and brokers for the arrangement, and managing the time period cars are on rent. This includes engaging with MBR and car rental companies consistently to expedite, extend & terminate car hire, manage multiple active rentals, and deal with escalations and complaints received regarding all car hire aspects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage workload and instructions from system through any communication and or documents.Responsible for all actions relating to car hire.Contact client or intermediary telephonically for any information needed for car hire initiation, extension or termination and any queries that may arise.Contact car rental companies, MBR’s, assessors CRM’s and regional managers telephonically and or via email to facilitate the process.Update Abuntex status and escalate to CRM’s where MBR’s are deviating.Handle complaints, queries and all interaction with clients, intermediaries, service providers, internal stakeholders, and relationship managers.Process payments and orders relating to car hire.Responsible to arrange and manage car hire requests, extensions and terminations, keeping dashboards up to date and meeting TAT targets.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMatricFully computer literate (MS Office)2 - 4 years’ claims experienceAny previous claims handling, pre-support and or post support experienceKnowledge of Abuntex and BPM will be an advantageCar hire handling processes will be advantageousSKILLSAbility to verify and interpret policy and appraisal detailGood communication skillsTelephonic skillsAbility to handle conflict and negotiateBasic business ethicsCOMPETENCIESWHO WE ARESantam is the market leader in the general insurance industry in Southern Africa.
