Currently engaged in a green fields drilling and exploration campaign, management is separated between the site in DRC and offices in Sandton, JHB. The position will be based at the Sandton offices in Bryanston.Requirements:• Degree( BCOM Accounting or similar)• Xero software• Must be able to work within a mining environment.• High degree of problem-solving skills is a bonus.• Must be willing to operate in multiple jurisdictions.• "Can Do" attitude and a willingness to assist outside of the designated scope of works is a bonus.• Will be hired as an Independent Contractor ("IC").Responsibilities:• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.• Assist in tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and government tax regulations (tax planning and compliance is a bonus).• Analyze financial data to provide insights into the Company's financial performance and profitability. Generate financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.• Collaborate with management to create annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.• Oversee payroll processing, including accurate calculation of employee wages, tax withholding, and compliance with labor laws.• Manage creditor accounts, including processing invoices, verifying payment terms, and ensuring timely payments. Oversee debtor accounts, monitor outstanding invoices, and follow up on collections to maintain healthy cash flow.• Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory reporting requirements, including annual reports and disclosures to regulatory authorities.• Evaluate, select, and implement accounting software systems to streamline financial processes (Xero software).• Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.• Assist with Financial Year End auditing requirements.• Perform other responsibilities assigned by a manager on a day-to-day basis as required by the Company.#J-18808-Ljbffr
