5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Lock and Key is seeking a Store Manager for a full-time contract on behalf of our client, Kiddiemajigs, a bespoke children's toy and dress-up store. This position will commence on 1 September 2024. Remuneration includes a fixed salary, as well as a commission based on sales over and above this. Hours 45 hours a week (6 days a week) Qualifications Retail experience: Previous experience in retail in a supervisory or managerial role Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service. Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees, customers, and vendors. High school diploma or equivalent qualification, higher education is advantageous Own car is preferred Assisting customers: Providing friendly and helpful service to customers, answering inquiries, and offering product recommendations. Processing transactions: Ringing up purchases, handling cash, credit card transactions, and providing accurate change. Maintaining cleanliness: Keeping the checkout area and store tidy and organised. Stocking shelves: Restocking merchandise, arranging displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Assisting with inventory: Conducting stock checks, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Following procedures: Adhering to company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and customer service. Resolving customer issues: Addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner. Providing product information: Familiarising oneself with the store's products and being able to answer customer questions about them.
