Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiast, experienced and energetic Technical Advisor to lead Anova’s HIV care and treatment programme specifically focused on the provision of men’s health services. The successful candidate is expected to achieve this through strategic leadership, skills development and stakeholder engagement. Bold and innovative thinking is required to implement this role with maximum impact. [ads1] Job Responsibilities: Develop, implement and scale-up a model for men’s health services at community level and Primary health care (PHC) facilities, with specific focus on the HIV/TB prevention, care and treatment programme components. Work with Anova’s clinical experts to implement a clinical capacity building programme on HIV/TB management across supported healthcare facilities. Maintain Anova’s expertise in provision of healthcare to men and other key populations by adopting and implementing an all-inclusive approach to HIV/TB prevention, care and treatment. Strategic Leadership of implementation Men’s Health Services with regards to comprehensive clinical care in APACE supported districts. Promote Anova’s visibility and disseminate models of best practice by active stakeholder engagement across the relevant sectors. Monitor and evaluate the status of men’s health services in Anova-supported districts and identify innovative ways to improve service delivery. Job Requirements: Facilitation, training and mentoring experience. Ability to formulate relevant working relationships and networks. A degree in Health Science, with a post graduate qualification (MPH, Family Medicine, or equivalent. 10 years clinical and programme implementation experience in TB, HIV, HIV/TB medicine. Experience in writing and presenting technical documents. Experience working in donor-funded programs. Driver’s license and willingness to use own car. Experience working in HIV/TB programmes aimed at reaching men. At least 5 years’ experience working in the men’s health sector. Willing to travel as and when required. Appropriate registration with HPCSA or SANC. Research experience is advantageous.
