JOB TITLE: Grade R and Grade 4 Tutor – 2 days a weekAREA: Waterkloof, PretoriaINDUSTRY: EducationHOURLY RATE: R 250 per hourReport to: ParentsJob Overview: Schedule:Sunday: 10:00 - 12:00Monday: 14:30 - 15:30Total Hours: 3 hours per weekResponsibilities:Provide academic support and tutoring to two boys (Grade 4 and Grade R).Grade 4 support – teach studies methods, revise weekly work and set up tests in areas that need revisionGrade R support – Letterland and counting stimulationDevelop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each child's educational needs.Assist with homework and revision for Grade 4 learner and prepare for week aheadFoster a supportive and motivating learning environment.Communicate progress and any concerns with parents regularly.Prepare tasks ahead of time and bring with to the sessionsQualifications:Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.Teaching qualification or currently studying towards a teaching qualification.Minimum of 3 years of experience in tutoring and au pairing.Experience in working with children in Grade 4 and Grade R.Non-smoker with healthy and sober habits.Reliable transportation to travel to the place of work.Personal Attributes:Patient and compassionate.Strong communication skills.Punctual and reliable.Creative and engaging in teaching methods.Able to build rapport with children and maintain a positive learning environment.Requirements:Non-smoker.Healthy and sober habits.Own reliable car for transportation.
