Ongoing, full time vacancy in Alice Springs, Northern Territory Professional 2 Remuneration $103,336 - $123,207 (including salary $88,204 - $105,445 ) The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) aims to drive the sustainable, economic and social advancement of the NT through land use and transport planning, infrastructure investment and effective logistics supply chains As a Planner your primary objective is to provide professional advice and information to the Department, the Northern Territory Planning Commission, the Development Consent Authority (DCA), relevant Government Departments and agencies, and the public on planning and development issues (both strategic and statutory) in the Southern region. In addition, you will assist in the development and ongoing review of regional, sub-regional and area plans; assess development applications, ensure developments comply with the relevant Planning Scheme and undertake inspections of development sites To be successful, you are required to hold a degree or diploma qualification related to Land Use Planning and have eligibility to full membership of the Planning Institute of Australia ; demonstrated ability to provide professional advice on land use planning and development, policy and processes.
