Job Description Source and contract regional contracts in a commoditized and centrally managed manner, in order to ensure security of supply and optimise supplier performance and value in the allocated portfolio, and act as an interface between Supply Chain and the business. To support the data analysis and of contracts and sourcing events across strategic commodities and strategic services. Your role will: Sourcing&Contracts Management Understand regional strategic priorities and develop relevant Sourcing&Contracting strategies to support business needs Implement value creation and supplier engagement strategies that align to the overall global Supply Chain strategy, critical tasks, performance targets and Business Unit priorities Responsible for all Sourcing&Contracting activities across a sub-set of categories that include sourcing plans; compiling and executing of sourcing events; contracting and contract management (incl administration); inclusive procurement plans and execution; supplier&contract performance management; commercial initiative definition and implementation Identify, enable&track VP and Inclusive Procurement opportunities Plan and track relevant commercial initiatives and ensure adequate resource requirements Provide effective and efficient sourcing&contracting activities relating to corporate, regional or BU contracts in a timely and value driven manner Interface Management Responsible for the seamless and quality handover of relevant contracts to on-site Supply Chain teams that will support the site-based implementation and day-to-day performance management Drive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and act as a single point of contact to resolve Supply Chain issues and escalations from the operations Manage relationships with strategic suppliers, to drive step change in value and deliver innovative solutions that position Anglo American as a partner of choice Optimize value through innovation, risk mitigation and growth throughout the relationship life cycle Participate in negotiations for regional contracts and drive a step change in commercial deals. Embed Supplier Relationship Management within the operations to foster mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers Educate asset stakeholders on relevant Supply Chain policies and standards and provide advisory and support service to the Business Unit technical stakeholders on the supplier/s and implementation of management strategies Reporting and Information Support Support and maintain a centralised management system to capture and update legal and electronic files Identify gaps, bottlenecks and opportunities for continuous improvement and business optimisation through management information, data collection, analysis and preparation of recommendations to drive business optimisation, supply documentation of strategies, process designs, policies&procedures and supporting reports to achieve business optimisation. Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain process using management intelligence and make recommendations. Qualifications An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level, B.Com Supply Chain Management or B.Com General Degree and Relevant role experience. University Graduates. Academic transcripts to be supplied Experience: 2 – 3 years Practical experience in relevant field Desirable: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity Experience in a supply chain function would be advantageous Exposure to Supply Chain and/or commercial environment would be advantageous Experience in SAP Ariba will be required Experience in Excel at Intermediate level required Additional Information Knowledge and Skills: Strong mathematic/analytical acumen Strong MS Office skills (Excel and Powerpoint) SAP Experience Strong logic and problem solving ability.
