The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).The IIE's Varsity College, Waterfall Campus has a vacancyfor a Lecturer: Work Integrated Learning (Part-time).Minimum Qualification Requirements: Honours degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science/ IT Management/ Computing/ Computer and Information Sciences/ Network Engineering / Telecommunications / Systems and Network Architecture, Analysis and Design / Programming / ScriptingAlternatively:Honour degree with a similarly related field.OrPostgraduate Diploma in Education plus a Bachelors degree in in Information Systems/ Computer Science/ IT Management/ Computing/ Computer and Information Sciences/ Telecommunications/ Network Engineering.Minimum Work Experience Required for Work Intergrated Lecturer:Lecturing experience in Information Technology Management (Networking) /Network Engineer/ Systems Engineer/ Enterprise Network Manager and/or Administrator/ Network Technologist / Network Solutions Design, Manager and/ or Developer.Knowledge and experience in the following :Agile Scrum MethodologyScrum Agile PrimerAgile lifecycleScrum agile iterations.Creating backlogsTimeboxEventsScrum charts.Sprint planningGit, GitHub, and GitHub ActionsWork experience as a software developer/ application developer/ mobile programmer.Experience as a scrum master will be an added advantage.The candidate must have worked within the tertiary institution so that they understand what students will experience of tertiary institutions and what is expected from them.The candidate must have a solid understanding of academic skills and how to assist the students to incorporate these skills into their studies.Working Conditions:Availability to lecture Part-time during the week, between 8am – 5pm on campus.Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary.Grade all assessments for assigned classes.Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.The IIE's Varsity Collegeis an Equal Opportunity Employer.
