AHC Nursing College currently has a vacancy for a NURSE EDUCATOR Critical Outputs Theory: Compiling of lesson plans Setting tests, assignments, workbooks, and examinations (according Blooms taxonomy) Marking and moderating of tests and exams Design or assist with short courses Present short courses to the clinical facilities of Africa Health Care as part of in-Service training Clinical teaching: Design evaluation tools for clinical procedures Compiling of lesson plans for clinical teaching Demonstrate procedures Clinical accompaniment in the simulation laboratory and in the accredited clinical facilities Assess students for clinical competency Moderate clinical assessments Administrative responsibilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook Assist with registration and completion of students with SANC Record all student activities: class attendance, marks, consultations, clinical hours(timesheets) Assist with designing of current curriculums or changing of current curriculums Willingness to travel to other provinces and clinical facilities Requirements Registered Nurse with SANC Basic Qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree) in Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration as a Professional Nurse Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a qualification higher Post basic qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree) in Nursing Education. Post basic qualification in Critical Care Nursing Post basic qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree) in Nursing Administration/Management. Minimum of 3 (three) years appropriate/recognized nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse At least a period of 3 (three) years appropriate experience in Nursing Education after obtaining post basic qualification Proof of registration with SANC for Assessor and Moderator BLS instructor certificate an advantage A valid driver’s license Experience in mentoring specific group of students Knowledge of all relevant legislation pertaining to the management of a Nursing Education Institution Collaboration/ Relationship Building Analytical thinking Problem-solving, analysis and judgement Resilience Verbal&written communication and presentation skills Negotiation Strategic agility Planning Organisational awareness Excellence and quality orientation Ethical behaviour Technical and professional knowledge Change agent Decision making Organising Quantitative analysis Departments Nursing AHC Nursing College is an equal opportunity employer, external candidates will also be considered.
