We are seeking experienced and passionate Carer Team Leaders (Day and Night shifts) to join our dedicated team at our facilities within the Southern Suburbs. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to lead and support a team of Carers, ensuring that they provide direct practical, physical, social, and emotional care for our residents at the healthcare centers. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Carer Supervision: Lead and supervise Carers under the guidance of the Carer Supervisor. Support and guide team members to ensure high levels of patient care. Report concerns to Carer Supervisors or Assistant Carer Supervisors. Ensure your team adheres to company policies and procedures. Foster a therapeutic and calming environment within the healthcare facility. Guide your team to perform their duties effectively and efficiently on a day-to-day basis. Administration&Reporting: Accurately chart and timestamp activities on Healthware. Report changes or concerns in residents' conditions promptly to the Duty Sister. Patient Care: Diligently follow and document activities as per the care plan. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for residents. Company Policies&Procedures: Adhere to all company rules, policies, and procedures. Treat all residents with respect and dignity. Infection Control: Comply with infection control policies. Maintain personal hygiene according to company standards. Health&Safety: Adhere to company health and safety standards during work activities. Be aware of duty of care and take measures to protect vulnerable residents. Report any health and safety contraventions to the Duty Sister. Qualifications and Experience: Education: Acknowledged Carer training from a reputable organization (advantageous). SETA accreditation (advantageous). Experience: Proven experience as a Carer or in a similar environment. Previous experience in leading a small team of Carers (advantageous). Skills and Knowledge: Leadership skills and basic computer knowledge. Core Carer competency skills, including dementia, palliative, and rehabilitation care. Manual handling and fall prevention knowledge and skills. Attributes: Strong leadership capability and accountability. Ability to motivate and inspire team members. Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills. Managerial confidence and critical thinking abilities. Ability to delegate tasks effectively Responsive Empathy and compassion towards team members and clients Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations Ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately Specific Requirements: Clear health, criminal, and credit records. Working Hours and Benefits: You will be required to work 16.25 shifts per month Should you select to work day shifts your shift starts at 07h00 until 19h00 or should you select night shifts your shift starts from 19h00 until 07h00.
