Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Manager is primarily responsible for providing accurate and timely company records by managing the accounting function. Duties include owning the financial close process and producing financial statements and reports to guide decision-making. Responsibilities include:Monthly reporting done accurately and timeouslyAll statutory reporting and submission donePayments reviewed for processing and releaseStock management process managed effectivelyManaging of subordinates – Local Creditors Clerk, Debtors Clerk, Financial Accountant, Cash Controller and Foreign Creditors Clerk (Junior Accountant) managed effectivelyEnsure adherence to company Delegation of AuthoritySystems and procedures implemented and enforcedRisk mitigation in terms of finances, processing and departmentERP managementInternal and external audits completed within designated timeframes.Fixed Asset Register – register up to date, items labeled with barcoded label, documentation retained (invoice & approval)Providing a supporting function to CFO and subordinatesEnsuring Company FICA compliancy – processes, reporting and audits.Requirements include:Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent qualification (Completed articles) CA(SA) Preferred5 years’ experience in similar positionBasic accounting principlesZoho Accounting (or other ERP system within manufacturing environment)Advance Excel SkillsStrong knowledge of IFRS and all related company taxes would be added advantageHighly analytical and ability to apply judgementAbility to work independently and drive deliveryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build and maintain working relationshipsAbility to prioritize and delegate tasksImplement appropriate financial processes and proceduresHigh level of ethics and integrityPlease note: This position will be office based Based in Somerset West, Helderberg Personnel was establishedin 1998.
