Responsibilities include:Gather data and prepare negotiations in terms of content and organizational aspectsResearch suppliers and raw materialsCompare prices and assisting in the maintenance of price tools in consultation with the (lead) buyersSend out contracts, check order confirmations and informing the lead buyer responsible of the changes, if necessaryPrepare, create, maintain and track contracts in SAPCreate and maintain supplier and material master dataCarry out efficient and effective sample managementCarry out administrative processing procedures for complaints, in consultation with the (lead) buyerResponsible for procurement of raw material/packagingGenerate Purchase Orders, and follow up with suppliers to ensure on time deliveryTo expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problemsCoordination with Planning team for material planning and accurate projectionCoordination with accounts for Payments to VendorsFully leverage existing procurement strategies, contracts and relationshipsBuild strategic relationships with key suppliersLead localization in Raw and Packaging materialsInternal / external price benchmarkingMaintenance of price tools in consultation with the (lead) buyersPeriodic Appraisal of suppliers & take necessary action on non performing suppliers with the teamExperience, skills and knowledge required:Relevant Tertiary qualificationMore than 4 years of professional experience as a Buyer in the Food and Beverage industry or general manufacturingSAP experience (Essential)MS.
