We’re looking for a dedicated Production Planner to join our clients dynamic team, reporting directly to the Customer Services Team Leader. In this role, you’ll be responsible for issuing weekly production schedules, maintaining stock levels, managing slow and dead stock, and coordinating inter-company sales and purchasing. Key Responsibilities: Issue weekly production schedules for production requirements Ensure sufficient finished goods stock to fulfill orders and maintain reorder levels Manage slow and dead stock levels within parameters Coordinate inter-company sales and purchasing Advise on raw materials exceptions for new or changed products Liaise with Stores&Distribution for service efficiencies Place orders with direct suppliers and manage stock levels Advise on machine capacity requirements for the future Long-term planning of production capacity in the plant Assist with the utilization budget process Qualifications and Competencies: Degree in supply chain or related field Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills SAP experience is advantageous Mathematics in matric Planning or buying experience in manufacturing or retail is advantageous 3-5 years of manufacturing admin experience/exposure is essential If you meet these qualifications and are ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role, we want to hear from you!
