They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with GCC to oversee and coordinate all engineering activities within the mining section/plant. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all electrical engineering activities as per the assigned section/plant. Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements, including: Legal responsibility appointment. Development and implementation of tactical strategies. Budget and cost control. Implementation of change initiatives. Optimization of electrical systems and processes. Effective stakeholder relations. Management of sectional/functional services and organizational structure. Contractor management. Oversight of electrical workshop facilities. Support functions and engineering operations processes and systems. Management of capital projects and expansions. People management. Adherence to SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) standards and compliance within own area of work. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Grade 12. Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Electrical Engineering. Government Certificate of Competence (GCC) in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of five (5) years of operational engineering and production experience within a mining and plant environment. Minimum of two (2) years of management experience with GCC in a plant area. Recommended: Degree (NQF Level 7) in Electrical Engineering. Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MBL, MDP, ARM Management, or equivalent). Total of eight (8) years of experience required, with some overlap permissible. Skills and Competencies: Proven leadership and management skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Expertise in budget and cost control. Effective in driving change initiatives and process optimization.
