Function Finance/Administration Facility Life The Glynnwood Position Admission Clerk Introduction A vacancy exists for an Admission Clerk in our Patient Services , based at Life The Glynnwood Hospital reporting to Sandy Cross, Admission Supervisor . The successful candidate will be responsible for providing full administration support to the Admissions Reception. Critical Outputs Responsible for accurately recording all admissions of patients to the hospital. The successful candidate is accountable for: Carrying out accurate admission and receptionist duties for the hospital. Performing general administration duties involved in the admission of patients, Including filing and assistance with billing of accounts. Admitting patients onto IMEDS. Operating the switchboard. Handling money. Liaising with medical aids to obtain authorization for admission Requirements Grade 12 National Senior Certificate Strong computer skills Previous Experience working with IT – IMEDS will be to your advantage. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills a prerequisite. Experience in dealing with customers. Knowledge of hospital procedures and medical terminology will be advantageous. Teamwork essential. Must be able to flex between day and night shift.
