Transnet is looking for youth to apply for CA Trainee Pragramme 2024 The CA Trainee Programme at Transnet is a three-year Programme for Candidates who have completed an accredited post-graduate qualification or equivalent. The stringent requirement of SAICA demand that trainees receive extensive training in Financial Management, Management Decision making, Financial Accounting, Internal Audit&Corporate Governance, Auditing&Assurance and Taxation. All new trainees will be trained and assessed in line with the SAICA CA 2025 framework which focuses on integrated thinking, digital acumen as well as integration between technical and professional competencies. In Transnet, the trainees will be rotating to different functions in the head office and several of its operating divisions e.g. Transnet Freight Rail, Transnet Properties, Transnet Engineering etc. The rotation will be tailored to meet the needs of the Trainee and the respective Operating Divisions, and in line with the minimum requirements as set in the Transnet SAICA Training Programme. Requirements The Minimum entry requirement is an accredited post- graduate qualification in Accounting Science or Financial Accounting programme. Current final year CTA students are also welcome to apply. Skills and Competencies: Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills. Analytical ability. Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and PowerPoint. Consistent progress in their accountancy studies. Ethical and professional skills and competence. Being a responsible citizen. The ability to work well within a team. Problem solving.
