Our client is seeking a highly motivated Accountant with specific operational commercial experience to join their team, based in Johannesburg.Successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of buildings of which will encompass property financials analysis, performance management, budgets, forecasts, operations (leasing & facilities).Minimum Requirements:-Bachelors Degree in AccountingMinimum 3 years Commercial Property experienceIntermediate Excel skillsSAGE experienceMDA experienceDuties:-Collate information to analyse income and expenses of the properties and provide comments against budgetsEnsure accruals are raised where some income and expense items are outstanding or not recorded accordinglyIdentify any misallocations in the ledger and ensure corrections are processed and timeouslyReview recoveries (municipals and other expenses) - where there are significant over or under recoveries, take corrective measuresTrack all municipal queries and highlight impact on the income statement and balance sheet once resolved.Ensure all rentals being billed are in accordance with leases and expenses paid are in accordance with signed SLA’sAnalyse property performance for decision making on improving Property Net Operating IncomeDevelop, implement and manage property budgets and forecasts working with the Leasing and Facilities teamsWork with Leasing and Facilities teams in managing the property budgetsProvide valuable input in preparation of management accounts, quarterly reports and annual financial statementsAssist with Debtors & Creditors ManagementAssist the Facilities team in managing the property asset registers and managing consumables stockPreparing underlying working papers for external audit purposesMonitor and report on accounting discrepanciesUndertake any other tasks as assigned by management
