Job Requisition ID # 24WD80496 Position Overview This is a hybrid role, based in South Africa and responsible for sales development across the African continent. The Africa Territory Sales Executive is an individual contributor to sales reporting to the Africa Territory Sales Lead, and will oversee the sales development strategy in Africa. You will conduct sales development activities to achieve assigned quota for products and services within Africa. You will lead a sales development strategy and build industry relationships to maximize reach and revenue in assigned industry. Responsibilities Build and manage relationships with decision-makers and act as a trusted advisor for our customers' digital transformation and BIM adoption. Promote the value proposition in presentations and demos with our prospects and customers. Align our product suite with customer outcomes. Lead market analysis to stay informed of industry trends, market activities, and competitors. Identify opportunities and main issues that can be addressed with our offerings. Foster close collaboration between the sales team and internal customer-facing teams. Ensure alignment of strategies and seamless customer experience. Track, analyze, and report sales metrics to inform strategic decisions and forecasts. Establish close direct contact with senior level technology policy makers and develop trusted advisor relationships on design technologies to this member group. Develop a strategy for maximizing the use of our product portfolio in AEC industry. Act as the main contact for competitive sales programs in Africa including partnering with internal and external resources to achieve sales and competitive replacements in accounts. Increase business by improving sales, industry literacy and technical capability internally and externally (work with the Channel and Channel Enablement Teams). Work with partners to uncover opportunities for replacing competition and wider use of our products. Stay current on competitors' strengths and weaknesses to create competitive strategies. Coordinate a variety of deliverables to influence executives thinking including product specific software templates, white papers, success stories, seminars, and workshops. Travel to meet customers and partners and attend events across Africa and speak and represent Autodesk at events and trade shows. Track opportunities and activities via Salesforce. Qualifications You have 10+ years in a similar role with sales, business development, or consultancy experience in the AEC industry. Experience in leading sales development activities. Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages such as French, Portuguese, or Arabic being advantageous. Proficiency in sales forecasting and metrics analysis.
