Access World is a global commodity warehousing and logistics business. We specialize in handling, storage, and processing of commodities including non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys, project cargo, oil&gas, and other agricultural products. In addition, we are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, and we provide LME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers, and consumers of base metals. In addition, we provide physical warehouse and related logistics services for commodities such as cocoa beans, rubber, cotton, and other agricultural products. Access World also acts as collateral manager of ferroalloys, minor metals as well as oil and gas. Regions operate in semi-autonomous offices with their corporate functions including commercial, finance HR, legal, and operations. Reports to: Imports BU Manager Department: Imports Purpose of the position To manage and handle the full function of a Sea / Air / forwarding shipment / Project Cargo. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Operational Registering Files on Ship Shape and ensuring a digital copy is on the server Invoicing and file balancing on Ship Shape All correspondence to the client relating to their stock and shipments Customs Entries and Acquittals Bill of Ladings – Obtaining release from shipping lines Processing of Creditors invoices Booking freight – ad hoc Month End Reports Audit Queries and full financial management of file Customs STOP knowledge NRCS Customer Service All service levels pertaining to the client’s requirements Effective use of e-mail communications Communicate professionally at all times with all parties Customer service to be optimal Communication This department is fully responsible for all communication levels, which include: – Liaising with the customer Liaising with the shipping lines Liaising with the transporters Liaising with border agents Reporting Daily Tracking shipments to the clients Daily invoicing schedules Resolving queries on time Proper execution of clearance on SS reporting General: A candidate with important knowledge of both air and sea would be suitable for this position. Someone who has strong communication skills and who has worked in other fields within the organization would do very well in this position. Key performance indicator: On-time delivery rate: This measures the percentage of shipments that are delivered on or before the expected delivery date Cost per shipment: This measures the total cost of each shipment, including production, processing, shipping, customs duties, taxes, fees, and other overheads Compliance rate: This measures how well the company adheres to the rules and regulations of the countries and authorities involved in the import/export process Lead time: This measures the duration and frequency of each stage of the import/export process, including transportation, customs clearance, and delivery Inventory turnover ratio: This measures how quickly the company’s inventory is sold and replaced over a given period of time Customer satisfaction rating: This measures the level of satisfaction of customers with the company’s import and logistics services Percentage of shipments with damage or loss: This measures the percentage of shipments that are damaged or lost during transportation Solutions-driven individual Problem-solving skills Ability to face challenges with a positive attitude Ability to function well under pressure Demonstrates initiative and adaptability Systematic and methodical A sense of urgency A reliable, self-disciplined, enthusiastic team player with a “can-do” attitude Logical thinking, out-of-the-box solutions Skills Requirements: Shipshape Excel Word SAP (an advantage) Basic Customs Knowledge C&F Knowledge Qualifications and Experience: Qualification (Diploma / Degree in Logistics, transport, and supply chain will an advantage) #J-18808-Ljbffr
