Education and experience: An associate degree / diploma in accounting or costing or at last a college or university accounting courseCosting from the manufacturing industry is a mustExperience working in an environment with a high volume of parts (7000 to 8000 parts)Knowledge of accounting systems2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a costing roleStrong Microsoft Excel (formulas and V-look Ups) and mathematics skills in order to work on many projects with different deadlines is importantSetting standard costs of manufactured goodsDeveloping and analysing cost standardsMaintaining master parts listMaintaining master “mark up rates” listEstablishing costs of business processes such as parts (manufactured and bought), kit packing, timber, container, administration, labour, time, shipping, etc.  using Microsoft ExcelRecommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximise profitsAdvising executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial dataResponsible for compiling production or sales cost reports on units or total basis for departments or working unitsPulling data from accounting systemExamines and analyses production records, such as time and production sheets, operations charts and schedules, to obtain data for calculationsResponsible for managing and facilitating the cost close out of projects, ensuring any outstanding issues / cost commitments are dealt with in a timely mannerAnalysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costsRecording cost information for use in controlling expendituresConducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program#J-18808-Ljbffr
