Job Description:The incumbent will provide HIV and TB services to patients at community level, linking study participants to the Primary Health Care clinics in compliance with the project’s HIV and TB service profile and reporting requirements.(ads1)Job Responsibilities:Provide HIV Testing Services (HTS) at communities in identified target areas, and initiate patients on antiretroviral therapy (ART).Provide accurate data to the Study Co-ordinator to inform study activities.Manage patients according to their viral load results (decanting, retaking of blood samples or referring for enhanced adherence counselling (EAC) or for second-line treatment regimens).Submit daily, weekly and monthly data internally and to the facility.Participate in the DO ART Study bi-weekly and monthly review meetings.Develop a system to monitor viral load tests done on a weekly and monthly basis according to the study guidelines.Actively transfer and check the successful transfer of patients to other clinics.Provide services using evidence-based HIV and TB interventions in communities according to the National and Provincial Department of Health (DoH) policy, guidelines and standard operational procedures.Identify patients due for viral load tests according to the Project guidelines.Implement the Universal Test and Treat (UTT) policy according to the latest guidelines to support the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets.Job Requirements:A valid drivers’ license is required as this position is community based.Experience in provider-initiated HIV counselling and testing, including index case contact testing, is essential.A Dispensing licence would be an advantage.Knowledge of ICRM and QIP frameworks.Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).Knowledge of HIV management, including the UNAIDS 95-95-95 goals and targets, and of TB management.Clinical care: understanding of UTT and QI processes and concepts, and competence in HIV clinical management (NIMART).Experience in facilitation of HIV self-screening would be an advantage.Certificates in Nurse-initiated Management of ART (NIMART) and Adult Primary Care (APC) are essential.Experience in a research project environment would be an advantage.Extensive knowledge of HIV prevention, treatment, care and support programmes.A Nursing Diploma or a degree in Nursing is essential.Five years’ experience in HIV/AIDs and TB service provision.Job Details:Company:Health Systems TrustVacancy Type:Full TimeJob Location:ZululandApplication Deadline: N/A(ads2)Apply Hereinstantcareers.net#J-18808-Ljbffr
