KEY PURPOSE OF JOBThe primary focus of this position is providing accurate cost information (product, projectand other costs) that aids in decision-making processes, enabling management to identifyareas of overspending, streamline operations, and maximize profitability. Analysing andtracking expenses to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency. Leveragingexpertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and compliance, to play a crucial role in drivingfinancial transparency, operational excellence, and strategic alignment within theorganization.KEY TASKSConducting detailed analyses of production costs, overhead expenses and operationalexpenditures to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.Monitoring inventory levels, valuing inventory, and analysing inventory costs toensure proper inventory control and minimize carrying costs.Investigating variances between job actual and budgeted costs, identifying reasons fordiscrepancies, and recommending corrective actions to managementCollaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance cost effectiveness, and implement best practices in cost accounting and financialmanagement.Utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other financial software tomaintain accurate cost records, generate reports, and streamline financial processes.PREREQUISITESQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEQualificationDegree/diploma in cost and management accounting (or similar)Experience & Knowledge:At least 3 years of cost and management accounting experienceRelevant manufacturing industry knowledge and experienceComputer proficiency in MS Office & ERP systemsSyspro experience will be an advantageCOMPETENCIES & SKILLSStrong understanding of cost accounting principlesSelf-starter who is confident, independent and can work without close supervisionAnalytical and problem-solving skillsTechnology proficiencyStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability tocommunicate complex issues to varying audiences and levelsAbility to collaborate and influence stakeholders (internal and external) to ensurea successful client experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
