The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Finance within the company in order to ensure that it is operating as efficiently as possible. This Accountant monitors, analyzes, and evaluates the financials of the company in order to make informed and calculated decisions.Key responsibilities:Account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, monthly reporting, taxreporting, and preparation of budgets.Prepare Monthly Accounts on Pastel for three companiesPrepare VAT for the three companies and submit to SARSAnalyse and upload all commission statements to Commspace systemTrack all commissionReconcile and load all ad hoc payments as well as monthly payments for authorisationManage Petty cashPrepare InvoicesCalculate Referral commissionAuditing of New Business, Switches, Offshore RedemptionsYear End Audit managementManage maintenance of the buildingKey performance measures:Meet all deadlines timeouslyAll work is completed accurately with attention to detailBe able to think strategically and analyze the business in order to identify opportunities for improvement.Finance Director is kept fully appraised and regularly updatedCommunication and follow upTimeously and in a professional manner, communication (i.e. face to face, by email or telephonically) relating to all areas of responsibility pertaining to the role, including document sending and follow upsImportant relationships:DirectorsFinancial PlannersManagersAdministratorsOther professional advisors e.g. Attorneys and AccountantsClientsParaplanner Team MembersProduct providersQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field with experienceExperienceProven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgetingSpecial skills/ competencies:Attention to detail – Detailed and accurateExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational skillsClear thinkerAbility to work well under pressureIndependent and creative problem solverInitiative – Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervisionExcellent administrative, research, report writing and communication skillsExcellent analytical skills with a preference for working in a structured, planned mannerUnderstanding of the Financial Planning processAble to work within defined business processesPrioritise and plan own workloadAbility to multi‐task and prioritise effectivelyArticulateExcellent inter‐personal skills, both written and verbalIT skillsTeam player#J-18808-Ljbffr
