Job Family Finance Tax Manage Self Technical (MST)Job PurposeTo support the strategic intent of the team by ensuring financial and test accuracy of data and performing reconciliations.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport and extract data requests for regulatory queries.Extract relevant tax transactional data.Perform basic checks to ensure completeness and accuracy and perform reconciliation controls.Process relevant entries in the GL system to ensure accurate accounting.Support all administrative requirements.Test the application of rules implemented against transactional data.Utilise tools like exception reporting to highlight any concerns regarding application of rules in the system.Extract data for external audit and investigations to support internal and external audit.Adhere to process and controls.Ensure continuous development in line with provided frameworks.Perform in line with performance measures.Capturing the data onto relevant templates, analyse and prepare relevant reports.Update General Ledger for the division by preparing all relevant journals, upload on system for authorisation and post to the relevant ledger accounts.Build and maintain internal stakeholder working relationships, understanding and consistently meeting client needs by providing relevant communication, complying with the governance and controls and sharing knowledge. Ensure work is completed on time by planning and utilising available resources effectively and operating within the agreed deadlines.Assist in mitigating risk by monitoring and escalating errors and risk related matters, complying with regulators requirements, adhering to policies and procedures and taking corrective action.Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed, experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing knowledge with team. Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies and support implementation of new processes, policies and systems. Essential Qualifications - NQF LevelAdvanced Diplomas/National 1st DegreesPreferred QualificationBCom AccountingMinimum Experience Level2 - 3 years Tax/ or Accounting experienceTechnical / Professional KnowledgeData analysisGovernance, Risk and ControlsRelevant regulatory knowledgeProduct KnowledgeTax ManagementCommunicationDecision MakingInitiating ActionStress ToleranceWork StandardsManaging WorkTechnical/Professional Knowledge and SkillsDisclaimer Preference will be given to candidates from the underrepresented groups Please contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at +27 860 555 566 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at +27 860 555 566 If you can't find the job you're looking for, activate job alerts to be one of the first to know when new positions open up.
