AccountantFinanceAccountable for specialist outputs and initiating changes in processes, policies, procedures, standards and services within inter-related functional areas of responsibility.Job PurposeThis role is primarily responsible for supporting the Revenue Manager to maintain and monitor the implementation of a pricing strategy and to monitor margin impact so as to ensure profitable revenue growth across all geographies.Key Accountabilities and OutputsRevenue AccountingValue-adding finance input to support the translation of strategic objectives into KPI's, financial targets and forecastsMonitor and track profitability indicators and incorporate into revenue reportingMonitor the impact of margin management practices such as promotions and markdownsEnsure the availability of timely and accurate customer and sales information and reportsProviding analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategiesParticipate and support the planning, budgeting and forecasting processesDelivery in annual budgeting and forecasting processes by supporting cost centre owners to make informed financial decisionsSupport and deliver periodic re-forecasts ensuring that latest operational drivers are understood and considered and highlight risks and opportunitiesDrive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systemsEnsure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controlsManage cost drivers and take action to mitigate financial risk and address variances and discrepanciesEngaging with the HOF and Regional teams to improve Finance understanding of the business, including revenue, cost and value drivers.Support cost centre owners to make informed financial decisions for initiatives aligned to the organisation's pricing strategyBuild and maintain financial models which accurately forecast project and business performanceSupport and drive governance and control within the HOF and Regional Finance functions (including management of discounts & rebates)Preparation of weekly and monthly income statements and other financial reports together with commentary explaining variances.Accountable for monthly reconciliation of assigned GL accountsMonitoring, tracking and processing customer claims/rebates on a daily basis and ensuring accuracy and validitySupporting the Revenue manager with any work or project in line with the strategic finance teams' overall goals.Adherence to the health, safety and environmental standardsEnsure adherence to site safety standards as head of Safety, Health and Environmental CommitteeEnsure compliance to all relevant legislationGeneralConversant with relevant business
