Our client, Proudly Produce, a successful and growing fruit export company based in Stellenbosch, has a vacancy for a Financial Accountant.The ideal candidate should be able to perform the full financial function of the company, & have a strong accounting background. A detail orientated Accountant, with the ability to lead and mentor a small finance- & admin team, are further characteristics of the ideal incumbent.Duties will include: *Manage, capture, report on & check all accounting transactions *Debtors responsibilities: Allocate Customer Ledger Entries in BC, Prepare statements for Customers & send as required, Prepare Forex payments & necessary invoices *Send out all reports as required on time relating to accounts payable & receivable *Ensure timely bank payments & bank recons *Sign off Creditor payment files *Compute taxes & prepare tax returns – VAT, PAYE, SARS related items, etc. *Manage balance sheets & profit/loss statements *Handle monthly, quarterly, & annual closings *Audit financial transactions & documents *Prepare annual budgets *Prepare management reports & accounts as required *Present reports & budgets at various financial meetings as required by company *Year-end closure, preparing the annual audit file and resolving audit queries *All other financial & administrative duties related to this position.Essential qualifications, skills and experience• BCOM degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant degree (SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles preferred);• 5 years' experience in a similar role in the fruit export industry;• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations & procedures, including the International Financial Reporting Standard;• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, specifically Excel, Sage Payroll);• Experience in Microsoft Business Central will be beneficial;• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);• Own reliable transport.Please apply online at www.m3online.co.za before 09:00 on 11 June 2024.For general enquiries, contact our team at M3 Human Capital Management on 021 863 1444.Please note that only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
