We are seeking a Fund Accountant to form part of a Private Equity Fund Accounting Team, reporting to a Manager, aided by an Assistant Manager, within the Private Equity Fund Accounting Division in the Johannesburg Global Service Centre.The Fund Accountant will support a growing team that provides a full suite of fund accounting and financial reporting services to our Private Equity clients. The role will include accounting and financial reporting, NAV reporting and fund administration duties for our portfolio of clients.Key responsibilitiesProvide day-to-day fund accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of Private Equity clients and structures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures;Ensuring that all day-to-day tasks are monitored and completed in a timely and satisfactory manner;Working closely with the client and Apex colleagues to ensure that accounting records are accurate and transactions are understood and correctly capturedPreparation of management accounts and financial statements in compliance with the relevant accounting standard (eg IFRS and GAAP)Provide inputs and necessary assistance with the preparation of NAV calculations, capital call workings and distribution workings of the Funds;Provide assistance to trainees to ensure that the deliverables are met;Where required, support the audit process to ensure the completion of milestones and deadlines; andPerform other duties to support the Manager and team as may be necessary from time-to-time.Skills / experienceBCom Accounting Degree (or similar)Qualified Professional Accountant (SAIPA) will be advantageous;Minimum 2-3 years fund accounting or similar work experience (eg Audit Articles);Proficient in MS Excel;Structured and detail orientated;Good analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines;Excellent communication and organisation skills;Motivated and driven.#J-18808-Ljbffr
