Key Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to South African tax laws, accounting standards, and financial policies. Prepare and file Income Tax and VAT returns. Handle Requests for Information and Tax Audits conducted by SARS. Assist with reporting requirements for the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) and Statistics South Africa. Stay informed about changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments. Communicate with third-party stakeholders such as SARS, FIC, Stats SA, external auditors, and consultants. Provide support to internal stakeholders on tax-related issues and resolve complex tax matters. Work closely with the Group Tax team. Calculate and document transfer pricing and thin capitalisation. Ensure compliance with documentation requirements for transfer-pricing and thin capitalisation. Collaborate with Group Tax and the Chief Accountant on various tax issues. Monitor thin capitalisation and coordinate on dividend payments and loans. Manage tax-related financial statement items and perform balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure reporting aligns with relevant IFRS guidelines and communicate changes to the local business. Assist the Chief Accountant in external audits and finalising Annual Financial Statements. Undertake any additional duties as assigned by your manager. Qualifications and Experience: Registered Tax Practitioner. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the tax space Strong technical knowledge of: Income Tax Act, 58 of 1962 Value-Added Tax Act, 89 of 1991 Customs and Excise Act, 91 of 1964 Tax Administration Act, 28 of 2011 Good understanding of: International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) with a focus on tax-related standards Financial Intelligence Centre Act, 38 of 2001 They believe in fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
