Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to support Business Development plans and related growth strategies and partnership programmes in Algeria, as well Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, while building sustainable relationships and enhancing opportunities with partner institutions. It will involve communications mostly with schools, universities, training centers, and other education or immigration institutions, as well as students and young professionals. Main Accountabilities: • Supports Business Development Manager in pursuing new lines of business, whether this is through existing or new clients, • Explores opportunities and best practices to retain and grow existing accounts. • Scopes out business opportunities in pre-agreed market segments and ensure a clear understanding of business needs. Uses those insights to understand current and prospective business development opportunities and inform business development strategies and plans. • Provides input into market intelligence activities, innovation and business development to ensure knowledge is up to date and forward thinking on all exams products • Supports continuous improvement in the Business Development function. • Supports existing and potential partners in choosing the appropriate English qualification, through B2B presentations and counselling to implement successful English assessment projects and achieve the best results. • Support partners in implementing the relevant registration process and mechanisms to reach the agreed targets and grow year on year. • Highlights performance issues related B2B customer journey, find solutions, and prevent similar issues from happening again. Relationship and stakeholder management • Proactively builds and maintains excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring integrated, joined up and future-proofed approaches for a sustainable growth. • Leads on the IELTS Ambassadors programme and related activities and monitoring. • Implements and manages online and offline lead generating activities organised by British Council or the partners, in collaboration with Marketing and Customer service. Analysis and reporting • Updates internal trackers related to Business development activities and competition, including data and insight collection andprocessing to provide timely, accurate, professionally produced data and information • Closely monitors achievement against plans and pre-agreed KPIs to protect and improve both short and medium-term performance. • Monitors Exams registration patterns to support growth, planning and capacity management. Finance and resource management • Supports budget management for B2B activities and marketing using agreed corporate systems and processes, • Conducts monthly and year-end reporting on progress against plan and deliverables, budget, and management of issues and risks. Experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, identifying needs and enhancing opportunities. Experience in B2B, Business Development, Marketing, sales, Customer support environments is desirable Experience in a relevant sector or industry is desirable (e.g. education, English, Exams, education or immigration counselling).
