This respected facility fosters a warm, family-like atmosphere while promoting a culture of empathy, professionalism, and inclusivity. The General Manager will lead various departments, manage a staff of around 55, and maintain close communication with the board of volunteers. With a focus on both operational excellence and resident care, the successful candidate will embrace the facility’s cultural heritage and work to maintain strong relationships within the community. Additionally, they will actively engage in attracting new residents to ensure the continued vitality of the home.Minimum Requirements:Management DegreeMedical Qualification (Highly Beneficial)Speak Italian / Or willingness to learn the Italian language within a yearProven leadership experience in healthcare, residential care, or hospitality sectorsKnowledge of geriatric care and healthcare regulationsStrong financial acumen with experience in budget management and fundraisingExperience in marketing and promoting servicesAbility to handle union-related mattersCompassionate and empathetic approach to resident careStrong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsDuties and Responsibilities:Oversee the operational management of the facility, including the medical department, catering, housekeeping, and administrationEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain high standards of care for residentsManage a team of 55 staff members, providing leadership, training, and supportDevelop and implement strategies to attract new residents and maintain the pipeline of potential residentsOversee the financial health of the facility, including budgeting and fundraising effortsBuild and maintain relationships with the Italian community and external partnersAddress union-related issues in collaboration with HR consultantsFoster a culture of transparency, inclusivity, and continuous improvement within the home#J-18808-Ljbffr
