Main purpose of this role is to provide research and administrative support to the site lead and other senior research staff. Post-graduate tertiary qualification (at least honors, with masters preferred or in progress) in Health Science field At least 1 year experience in a similar role within a research environment Must have experience in conducting literature reviews Must have experiencing using a reference management software to manage bibliographic data and related research materials Experience with clinical trial administration (Ethics, SAHPRA, SANCTR etc) Experience in the development/use of clinical trial databases e.g. RedCap Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and antiretroviral treatment Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and use these to manage study Strong administrative and logistical skills Strong planning and organizing skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work under pressure Ability to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Advantageous: Certificate in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Experience in qualitative statistical analyses Valid driver’s license with own transport Publication in a peer-reviewed journal Responsibilities: Provide research and administrative support to senior researchers at DCAT site Assist PI with any presentations (preparation or delivery) that need to be done, based on study data; for calls, presentations or meetings Conduct and present literature reviews as requested Assist in the preparation of grant applications, scientific writing, manuscript development, and annual reports. Assist in drafting protocols and informed consent documentation. Manage research protocol Ethics/SAHPRA submissions and renewals as needed Organise (bi- or) annual study meetings (venues, agenda, travel, invitations) Ensure studies are regularly presented to community advisory boards and stakeholders Assist with qualitative data management and analyses as needed.
