Together with our client, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with preferably Petrochemical project experience and Eskom Power Generation project experience, to design, develop, and oversee the implementation of mechanical systems and equipment for a variety of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical systems are designed and installed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree, professional registration, and at least 5 years of relevant experience, including vessel designs and Caesar piping stress analysis and modelling. Key Performance Areas:Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of mechanical systems and equipment for a variety of projects, including Eskom Power Generation, Petrochemical, and Mining projects.Ensure that mechanical systems are designed and installed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments to evaluate the suitability and feasibility of mechanical designs and solutions.Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and other engineering documents, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and vendors, to ensure that mechanical designs are aligned with project requirements and schedules.Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, and monitor and report on project progress and performance.Conduct site inspections and commissioning tests to ensure that mechanical systems are installed and functioning correctly.Perform vessel designs and Caesar piping stress analysis and modelling.Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.Compile Tenders and Bill of Quantities. Skills and Experience Required:Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalentProfessional registration.Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, including Petrochemical projects and Eskom Power Generation.Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, methodologies, and toolsExperience in designing and implementing mechanical systems and equipment, including vessel designs and Caesar piping stress analysis and modelling.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, as well as part of a team, and prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Flexibility to work from both at the head office in Melrose and client sites Salary:Market-Related Application Process:
