Hire Resolve's client is currently looking for a skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join their mining team in Gauteng. As a Process Engineer in the mining industry, you will be responsible for optimizing the production processes, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance overall plant/refinery performance.Responsibilities Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and throughput. Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements. Optimize plant usage to reduce metal losses by supporting the Smelter Process Leader and Senior Process Engineer with enhancements and suggestions. Carry out technical analysis of processes. Initiate process improvement assessments at the start of projects. Organize and aid in audit tasks for both the Primary and Secondary Processes sections. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Analyze data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement best practices. Requirements Grade 12 Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering. 5 years' experience as a Process Engineer within the mining industry. 5 years' experience in a Metallurgical or Smelter environment (Gold Plant/Refinery). Extensive knowledge in Processing and Hydro & Pyro Metallurgy. Extensive Project Management experience.
