Hire Resolve's client is currently looking for a Mining Foreman to join their mining team in Mpumalanga. The Mining Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of workers who extract minerals, such as coal, from surface mines.Responsibilities Coordinate activities of workers engaged in underground or surface mining; such as underground loading machine operators, and removing ore from underground or surface mines and quarries Ensure adherence to safety rules and regulations Examine supplies such as roofing bolts, plates, and timbers, to ascertain whether they meet specifications for mining support Identify and correct any problems or malfunctions in equipment Instruct workers to operate machinery which extracts minerals, such as coal, ore, and other material from veins, seams, or reefs Examine ore specimens to estimate mineral content and to ascertain whether minerals meet specifications Select locations for new mine shafts, design shafts, and plan routes for transportation of minerals to surface Requirements Grade 12 National Diploma in Mining Engineering Opencast Blasting Certificate Competent A 5 years’ experience as a Mining Foreman in coal mining. Valid Drivers' License.
