Job DescriptionRegistered Nurse Team Leader£22 per hour (£48,048 per annum)Do you dare to make a difference?We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse Team Leader to join our team in RochdaleAt National Neurological Services we support people with Acquired Brain Injuries and Neurological conditions in their rehabilitation. We strive to achieve personal goals and endeavour to support individuals in regaining as much independence as possible following their injury or condition. Our ultimate aim is for individuals to be able to return home and enjoy their lives again.. Here at Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitation Centre, we have capacity to support up to 7 individuals through their slow stream rehabilitation. You’ll be joining a core staff team consisting of Registered General Nurses, Rehabilitation Coaches, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapists, Neurological Consultant, a Neurological Psychologist and a Registered Manager. That is why we offer:A Competitive hourly rate of £22 Per HourWe fund your NMC renewal cost.Training and Development to maintain your CPD.Opportunities for development and growth within your role - we believe in promoting from within.Enhanced Training that includes Induction Training, Service Specific as well as opportunities to complete a Care Certificate and NVQ/QCFAccess to Private Medical InsuranceUnlimited Refer a Friend Scheme to earn £300 per successful referralKey Responsibilities:Consistently demonstrate the Company values, leading by example and delivering safe, effective working practices. Oversee the provision of high-quality person-centred clinical support and interventions for all people supported, in line with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements and other statutory bodies.Identify priorities and manage resources effectively to ensure that the quality of care delivered is maintained and improved.Conduct high quality assessments.Prepare reports and present clinical updates both internally and externally.Work in partnership with key professionals, ensuring all guidance is implemented and followed.Timely and accurate completion of Local Authority Safeguarding alerts, CQC notifications and any other regulatory or internal incident protocols.Active leadership of all colleagues within the clinical team to ensure delivery of high quality care and support.Conduct induction, supervision, competency assessment and appraisals for the nursing/clinical team. Creating innovative plans for development and high performance.Accountability for accurate completion of audits including completion of resulting actions as required.Take the lead role in the management of medication and clinical interventions ensuring practices are in line with company policies and other statutory guidance.Ensure self and Nurses adhere to the NMC Code of Practice at all times.Active commitment to maintain ongoing NMC registration and CPD including keeping up to date with changes across the Health Care and Social Care sector.Deputise for the Registered Manager as required.Flexibility to undertake any other duties that might be consistent with your role at the request of any Senior Manager.The Ideal Candidate will haveRegistered Nurse Band 6 or above and with an active PINHave extensive experience of working in care settings in capacity of Nurse or Clinical nurse lead. Knowledge and experience to include PEG, tracheotomy etc.Demonstrable understanding of the principles of high-quality person-centred care and support and non-discriminatory care practiceGood understanding of the regulatory responsibilities under the NMC codes of practiceUnderstanding of systems to maintain confidentiality in relation to customers, staff and the businessExcellent communication skills.
