This is a role unique to We Buy Cars and forms part of the buying department. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a drive for accuracy, and requires an energetic, dynamic, honest, loyal, and hard-working persona. We expect you to facilitate the authorisation or rejection of irregular buying transactions, whilst building and maintaining good relationships with various stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities: Transaction Monitoring - Perform daily monitoring of transactions in accordance with the 6-month rule. Vehicle Recovery - Assist the administration department in retrieving vehicles from SAPS pounds. Investigation Support - Aid in investigations of stolen and cloned vehicles to ensure compliance with company rules and regulations. Investigative collaboration – Form relationships with ICB, SAPS, and other law enforcement agencies on high-risk transactions. Industry Engagement - Attend Vehicle Crime Forums to stay updated on developments within the vehicle crime sector. Fraud Risk Reduction - Contribute to reducing risks associated with fraudulent transactions. Reporting - Generate reports for vehicles designated for write-off or loss. Stakeholder Collaboration - Work with banks and other stakeholders to minimize risks related to vehicles with third-party interests. Ad Hoc Duties - Perform additional tasks as required by management.
