Our client in the Cement Industry is seeking a Project Engineer in Port Elizabeth. To lead the project team and ensure that relevant responsible care objectives and imperatives are implemented and exercised to ensure optimal utilization of all resources used to safely produce cement.Duties:Responsible for All Plant and related Projects.Manage Project team and coordinate projects from beginning to end.Responsible for ensuring the optimization of all production equipment.Ensure all Projects and initiatives are optimally managed to the commissioning stage.Ensure systems and resources are provided to ensure the availability and control of necessary maintenance spares and equipment.Responsible to oversee the effective management of all Safety Systems on site.Manage Site P&IDs, Equipment Lists, and Plant Drawings.Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is achieved and maintained in designated areas.Ensure all safety policies are understood and adhered to by staff. Ensure external contractors are managed according to all relevant policies, procedures, and instructions.Process and Engineering responsibility for all production equipment.Lead engineering projects and commissioning of new equipment for continuous improvement.Interaction with all other departments (technical, quality) and sites in groups for problem-solving.Identification and communication of restrictions and bottlenecks.Assist Production in problem solving and process trouble shooting.Requirements:BSc / B Tech / Diploma in Engineering.A minimum of 5-7 years in an Engineering role in a manufacturing plant.A minimum of 4 years’ experience in leading and managing technical engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.Experience in Cement manufacturing will be an advantage.Skills:Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Expert Computer skills essential with specific emphasis on MS Office, SAP, AutoCAD Mechanical, and Inventor.Advanced Project Management skills.Advanced problem-solving skills.EE position About Michelle Tuck cc t/a Staff Solutions Staff Solutions is a bespoke recruitment agency founded in 2004,with a national footprint.
