Select your country to see jobs specific to your location.Our client is a diversified group operating in the financial services sector that is seeking a Financial ManagerExecutive SummaryArticles/training contract completed at a small firm (having worked across the entire business)Must be proficient in consolidationsMust be proficient in ExcelMust have Post Articles Financial Management experienceFinancial Services experience advantageous but not essentialMaintain and manage the requirements of various group companies, subsidiaries, trust and associates from a day to day accounting position in an accurate and up-to-date state at all times.Maintain and manage all VAT, tax and other statutory requirements of the above entities.Prepare regular monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and other statutory requirementsPreparation of group consolidation on a monthly basis and liaising with subsidiary CFOs, accountants in getting Trial balances, management accounts for the consolidation process.Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Manager with adhoc information and reports from time to time.Assist in maintaining adequate systems of control and risk management throughout the group.Dealing with the general accounting management functional issues.To perform the full accounting function from source to trial balance and management accounts levelManaging and co-ordinating monthly reporting, budgeting processes. preparation of budgets and consolidated budgets for board purposes.Oversee finances and ensure all reporting is done in line with company policies, and applicable accounting standards.Assist in ensuring the company and group has effective internal audit procedures and manuals.Specific duties will include but are not limited to:-daily cash managementfull debtors and creditors functionbank reconciliationsmonthly accrualsintercompany loan balancingbalance sheet analysis and reconciliationsupdating the fixed assets registerSARS submissions and payments (IT, VAT, PAYE, DWT etc)year-end audit file preparationupdating contracts registerliaising with internal and external auditorsassist with the preparation of ARC, Board meeting packsany other duties that may arise in the course of businessCA (SA).5 years post articles experience in a financial manager roleFinancial services experience advantageous.Experience in operational finance.Experience in preparing group consolidated accounts and financial statementsDetail orientated.Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.A team player with the ability to work independently.A curious, robust, and self-motivated individual with a drive for financial accounting discipline.A desire to improve end-to-end financial accounting and reporting processes.The number of jobs in each salary range for all:#J-18808-Ljbffr
