We are looking for Warehouse Controller that will ensure goods go through efficient Binning and Packaging process before they get to Customers and Stores.Your role:  Ensure effective, accurate and timeous binning of goodsEnsure effective, accurate and timeous packing of goodsPerforming Incoming and Outgoing goods quality inspectionsEnsure effective receiving and capturing of incoming goodsEnsure effective and accurate stock movement when requiredEnsure that bin locations are maintained in accordance with the required stores standardsEnsure that ESD process is followed when handling and binning materials, also ensure that items are stored in correct storage areasEnsure that new items have bin cards, and existing stock has updated bin cardsEnsure that shortage clearances are conducted timeous and on daily basisInventory Management – Ensure efficient packing, handling and storing of goodsInventory System Maintenance – Correct management of the inventory systemTo kit goods as per Kit / Picking listsEnsure that all kitted items are of the good quality standardEnsure that correct quantities are picked in accordance with the pick listLoading of Goods – Ensure that all goods are loaded and offloaded in a safe manner and that all paper work corresponds with the delivery specificationsEnsure that efficient packing, handling and storage of goods as per specificationsEnsure all components, items / equipment is delivered and are accurately receivedAccurate and timeous handling of unplanned material requisitions requestsRaising MRB when non-conforming parts are discovered and following up with the MRB processEnsure that 5’s is maintained in the work environmentEnsure maximum utilization of storage space, adhering to quality and safety standardsPerform all shipping and warehousing related transactions in IFS SystemCarry out all legal instructions from your line management as all duties and responsibilities are not limited to the abovePerform Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions, under the auspices of SGD QM, on goods received, dispatched and produced in Cape TownYour profileA packer will be assigned to a specific area, retrieve the items needed from the inventory, check that they are in good condition, wrap them securely, and pack them for shipping.Binning of goods from Transit (Manufacturing / Test Departments / Capricorn Park) and Incoming Quality Inspection to ensure that they are readily available for SRU’s and LRU’s picking.Required Knowledge and Experience: A minimum of 2 years in packing, shipping or warehousing experience Knowledge of manufacturing and repair processes and supply chain managementKnowledge of packing and shipping processMust be able to work under minimal supervisionPrevious warehousing, receiving or dispatch experienceGood communication and Excellent Interpersonal SkillsPlanning, Organizing and Quality OrientationQualification:Certificate or similar qualification in Supply Chain, Warehouse or Inventory ManagementWhat you will be a part ofSGD has reinforced its position as a leading South African defence and security company, bringing capabilities including electronic warfare systems, sensor technology, training systems, avionics, security and support solutions to the African and international markets.
